Even though I left the unit my junior year and only did it for 3 years, this has been such a huge part of my development through high school, and these people have become like a second family to me.
I’m really going to miss this next year. Even on days like today, when I dobt really feel like wearing my uniform, every time I put it on, I feel proud. Because I know that I have done to earn everything that’s on it. And even the things that aren’t on it. Teaching the freshmen, being a mentor, looking out for them. There isn’t a recognition for any of that, but I know that I did it and still made an impact on someone’s life in rotc.
I really am going to miss this next year

Oh my god. Tbat was the most embarrassing moment of my life. I had my while speech rehearsed in my head for my senior presentation and as soon as I got up there I forgot EVERYTHING I was going to say. Oh my god. I could cry. I almost cried when I was standing there
